Every day we are confronted with thousands of individual impressions. We look, but do we see? Some images enter our consciousness, while others drift away into the recesses of our mind to be lost or recalled sometime in the future.
My images represent a reality that existed at a point in time. But when you look at these images later, that reality is no longer with you. Their original meaning, their sense, has been stripped away, and they can take on a new meaning, which is influenced by the experience and background of the person viewing them. It creates a new, individual Unseen Sense. By reducing reality to a minimum I aim to create an abstract representation of the world around me.
In 2015 I showed these images in the exhibition Unseen Sense by the Nebuli Arts group at the Incinerator Art space. Our exhibition was part of the Head On Festival 2015. I want to thank Rose Niland for writing a glowing review on the website 'thecultureconcept'.
